SI based disease model over signed network

چکیده
Signed network is a kind of network that associates each edge a positive or negative sign which could express friendly or unfriendly relationship between individuals. When diseases spreading over the signed network, some unfriendly edges may refuse to spread. Moreover, the signed network is dynamic, according to the structure balance theory which is the most important theory in the study of signed network, edges in the signed network will flip their signs over time. How does disease spreading interact with signed network evolving becomes a challenging issue. In this paper, we propose an energy function to describe the disease spreading and network evolving together, and we introduce the notion of Structure and Spreading Balanced. We extend the structure balance theory of Cartwright and propose a Structure and Spreading theorem. Finally, we carry out MonteCarlo simulations on complete signed network to validate our theorem. In the experiment, we find that the signed network has self-immunity during disease spreading, which can be used explain the phenomenon of isolating the virulent virus by isolation.

A comparison of different network based modeling methods for prediction of the torque of a SI engine equipped with variable valve timing
Nowadays, due to increasing the complexity of IC engines, calibration task becomes more severe and the need to use surrogate models for investigating of the engine behavior arises. Accordingly, many black box modeling approaches have been used in this context among which network based models are of the most powerful approaches thanks to their flexible structures. In this paper four network base...
متن کاملBalanced clusters and diffusion process in signed networks
In this paper we study the topology effects on diffusion process in signed networks. Considering a simple threshold model for diffusion process, it is extended to signed networks and some appropriate definitions are proposed. This model is a basic model that could be extended and applied in analyzing dynamics of many real phenomena such as opinion forming or innovation diffusion in social netwo...
متن کاملOn the Spectral Evolution of Large Networks
In this thesis, I study the spectral characteristics of large dynamic networks and formulate the spectral evolution model. The spectral evolution model applies to networks that evolve over time, and describes their spectral decompositions such as the eigenvalue and singular value decomposition. The spectral evolution model states that over time, the eigenvalues of a network change while its eig...
متن کاملs-Inversion Sequences and P-Partitions of Type B
Given a sequence s = (s1, s2, . . .) of positive integers, the notion of inversion sequences with respect to s, or s-inversion sequences, was introduced by Savage and Schuster in their study of lecture hall polytopes. A sequence (e1, e2, . . . , en) of nonnegative integers is called an s-inversion sequence of length n if 0 ≤ ei < si for 1 ≤ i ≤ n. Let In be the set of s-inversion sequences of l...
متن کاملSigned Network Modeling Based on Structural Balance Theory
The modeling of networks, specifically generative models, have been shown to provide a plethora of information about the underlying network structures, as well as many other benefits behind their construction. Recently there has been a considerable increase in interest for the better understanding and modeling of networks, but the vast majority of this work has been for unsigned networks. Howev...
